SocratED (pronounced 'So-Crat-ED') makes it easy for anyone to build and offer complete online courses. The goal is to allow everyone to access the best teachers, and do so via the simplest and most effective learning environment possible.

We started Socrated with the idea that each student be able to learn at their own pace, and have courses that are optimized to their individual learning needs.

Co-founded by a former NYC teacher and education researcher at Columbia University, we routinely take emerging education research and combine it with different social and adaptive technologies to try to improve learning. Using testing and analytics, our objective is to constantly discover what works and what doesn’t and then make it dead simple for teachers to build courses accordingly.

The result is that SocratED makes taking AND building great courses an intuitive -- and even enjoyable -- experience. But don’t take our word for it, try it yourself.
